 What must I do to be saved?

 The bible teaches that one must first hear the word of God. "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God. Romans 10:17.

After hearing the gospel one must believe . Jesus said in scripture teaching, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned". Mark 16:16.

Upon hearing and believing the gospel you need to change your life by repenting of your past sins. Jesus said "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish". Luke 13:3

Once you have heard the word of God, believed it  and repented of your sins, you must confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Jesus said "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven".   Matthew 10:32-33

The scripture  tells us one must be  baptized for the remission of sins. On the day of pentecost Peter preached  "Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost". Acts 2:38

Now that you are a Christian you must live faithfully.

"Take heed unto thyself and the doctrine, continue in them for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee."  1 Timothy 4:16
